On 25-28 August 2014, students of the Master of Ocean Engineering Study Program conducted a Field Visit to Singapore and Malaysia to provide an introduction to further education and industry programs to master students by visiting universities and industries related to Ocean Engineering in Singapore and Malaysia, including visiting educational programs. masters and doctorates in Singapore, namely Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) in Singapore; as well as visiting master and doctoral education programs in Malaysia, namely Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Malaysia; and also visited industries engaged in Ocean Engineering: East Marine Pte Ltd in Singapore which is engaged in dredging equipment fabrication and contracting in the dredging and reclamation sector; as well as sharing experiences from alumni of Ocean Engineering-ITB who are in Singapore which was held at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore.
The field visit was attended by 16 Master of Ocean Engineering students class 2012-2014 and accompanied by the Chair of the Master of Ocean Engineering Study Program, Irsan Soemantri Brodjonegoro, Ph.D., and Dr. Nita Yuanita as an assistant lecturer.
The field visit was carried out to provide insight into real work in the field in industries related to Ocean Engineering.
