As an educational institution, Ocean Engineering ITB always tries to create the best graduates who are ready to work in society. The lecture material that is presented in the classroom is designed as well as possible so that students can understand and apply it in their future professions. However, to be able to apply this material, students need to get field lessons in order to better understand the application of this theory. On that basis, field courses for the Master’s program were held on May 24-27 2016.
This field lecture is structured for three days to visit the following locations:
- Pelabuhan Indonesia III Surabaya (Tanjung Perak)
- BPPT Hydrodynamics Center
- Ocean Engineering ITS Campus
- Surabaya coastal area
On the first day, students visited PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III and the Surabaya coastal area. The second day was carried out with activities with the ITS Master of Ocean Engineering Study Program and joint activities with the Surabaya Hydrodynamics Technology Center (BTH). Then at the end of the academic visit, the students took a short vacation on the Batu Malang tour.
