In order to fill the collaboration between the Bandung Institute of Technology and National Taiwan University (NTU) – Taipei, Taiwan, on October 3-4 2019 a visit from the delegation of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering ITB to the NTU Faculty of Engineering was conducted. One of the delegates from the FTSL ITB is the Chairperson of the Master of Ocean Engineering Study Program.
On this visit, the Ocean Engineering delegation consisting of the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the FTSL ITB, the Chair of the ITB Ocean Engineering Study Program and the Chair of the ITB Master of Ocean Engineering Study Program was especially received by the leadership of the Department of Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering – NTU.
The meeting agenda consists of:
- Introduction to Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE/FTSL) ITB and Ocean Engineering ITB
- Introduction from the Department of Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering – NTU
- Preparation of collaboration/cooperation draft
- An explanation of the potential of existing programs at NTU, including the opportunity to do doctoral-level studies at NTU with a scholarship from the Taiwan Higher Education ministry and also information about the opportunity to send Bachelor and Master level students to make academic visits (exchange program).
- Laboratory visit
- Having lunch together
One of the results agreed upon at the meeting was that 2 Master of Ocean Engineering students will make an academic visit for 1 month to the Department of Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering – NTU.
